Wikipedia - Beirut Club
Beirut Club (Arabic: نادي بيروت) is a professional basketball team based in Beirut, Lebanon, who plays in the Lebanese Basketball League (LBL), the top-flight of basketball in Lebanon. Home games are played in the Chiyah Stadium.
The club was first promoted to the Lebanese Basketball League in 2017, and has played there ever since. The club won their first LBL championship in 2022, defeating Al Riyadi in the final. Beirut Club has won the Arab Championship in 2023, and was the runner-up in two consecutive finals in 2018 and 2019.
Beirut Club also has a professional women's team.
Basketbalteam Beiroet is een professioneel basketbalteam gevestigd in Beiroet, Libanon. Het is opgericht in 1934 en speelt in de Libanese Nationale Basketbalcompetitie. Beiroet heeft 14 Libanese kampioenschappen en 8 Libanese Basketball Cups gewonnen, wat hen een van de meest succesvolle teams in de Libanese basketbalgeschiedenis maakt. Het team staat bekend om zijn snelle speltempo, fysieke verdediging en getalenteerde spelers. Beiroet vertegenwoordigt Libanon regelmatig in internationale competities, waaronder de FIBA Asia Champions Cup en de Arab Club Championships.
