Afrique Football Elite

Afrique Football Élite is a football club located in Bamako, Mali. They currently play in the Malian Première Division, the top tier of Malian football.

In the 2018 Malian Cup, AFE reached the semi-finals of the competition before being eliminated by Djoliba in a 1–0 defeat.

In the 2021 season, AFE topped their group in the Bamako district league and qualified for the league play-off, finishing second behind Guidars FC; however, Guidars pulled out of the promotion play-off and were replaced by AFE, before AFE ultimately gained promotion to the Malian Première Division alongside US Bougouba.

Afrique Football Élite, ook wel bekend als AFE, is een Malinese professionele voetbalclub uit Bamako. De club werd opgericht in 2004 en speelt zijn thuiswedstrijden in het Stade Mamadou Konaté.

AFE is een van de succesvolste clubs in Mali, met negen landstitels en zes bekerwinsten op zijn naam. De club vertegenwoordigde Mali ook in internationale competities, zoals de CAF Champions League en de CAF Confederation Cup.

AFE staat bekend om zijn jeugdopleiding, die een aantal van de beste spelers in Mali heeft voortgebracht, waaronder Seydou Keïta en Mahamadou Diarra. De club heeft ook een aantal buitenlandse spelers aangetrokken, met name uit Ivoorkust en Ghana.

De huidige hoofdcoach van AFE is Mamoutou Kané, die de club in 2021 overnam. Onder zijn leiding heeft AFE zich gekwalificeerd voor de CAF Champions League van 2022/23.
