BC Timba Timişoara was a professional basketball club, based in Timișoara, Romania. The club competed in the Liga Națională and Liga I until it was dissolved in the summer of 2018.

History

The club was founded in 2006 and promoted relatively quickly in Liga Națională, but relegated at the end of the 2014–15 season, after finishing 12th. Timba Timişoara promoted back after two years in Liga I. In the summer of 2018 Timba withdrew from the championship and then was dissolved.

Timba Timișoara is een Roemeense professionele basketbalclub uit Timișoara, die uitkomt in de Liga Națională, de hoogste basketbaldivisie van Roemenië. De club werd opgericht in 1950 en heeft een lange en succesvolle geschiedenis, met 12 landstitels en 11 bekertitels.

Timba Timișoara staat bekend om zijn aanvallende stijl van spelen en heeft een aantal getalenteerde spelers in de selectie, waaronder de Roemeense internationals Vlad Moldoveanu en Rareș Uță. De thuisbasis van de club is de Arena "Constantin Jude", die plaats biedt aan 2.000 toeschouwers.

In de afgelopen jaren heeft Timba Timișoara deelgenomen aan verschillende Europese competities, waaronder de FIBA Europe Cup en de Basketball Champions League.
