The Egyptian Basketball Premier League (Arabic: بطولة الدورى العام الممتاز (أ) رجال) is the top professional basketball division of the Egyptian basketball league system. Administered by the Egyptian Basketball Federation (EBBFED), it is contested by 16 teams, with the two lowest-placed teams relegated to the Egyptian Basketball Premier League B and replaced by the top two teams in that division.
A total of five clubs have been crowned champions of the Egyptian Basketball Super League since its inception in 1972, with Zamalek winning the title a record 15 times and Al Ittihad 13 times, though the Egyptian Basketball Super League also saw other champions, including Gezira (11 times), Al Ahly (7 times) and Sporting (3 times). The champions of each season qualify for the Basketball Africa League (BAL) regular season.
Egypte - League is een professionele basketbalcompetitie voor clubs uit Egypte. Het is het hoogste niveau van clubbasketbal in het land. De competitie werd in 1975 opgericht en wordt georganiseerd door de Egyptische Basketbalfederatie.
Het seizoen van Egypte - League loopt doorgaans van oktober tot mei. De competitie omvat 12 teams die een round-robin-toernooi spelen, waarbij elk team twee keer tegen elk ander team speelt. De bovenste acht teams plaatsen zich voor de play-offs, waarbij de winnaar wordt gekroond tot kampioen van Egypte - League.
Al Ahly is het meest succesvolle team in de geschiedenis van Egypte - League, met 46 kampioenschappen. Zamalek is een andere topclub in de competitie, met 30 kampioenschappen.
Egypte - League is een van de sterkste basketbalcompetities in Afrika. De competitie heeft een aantal spelers van hoog niveau voortgebracht, waaronder Ahmed El-Garhi, Omar Taha en Ehab Amin.
