The Ukrainian Men's Handball Super League (Ukrainian: Гандбольна Суперліга) is the top men's league of Ukrainian handball. It was founded in 1992. It is run by the Handball Federation of Ukraine (FHU).
History
Before, the Ukrainian teams played in the championship of the USSR. During the seasons from 1991–92 till 1999–2000, it was called the Premier League (Ukrainian: Гандбольна вища ліга). During the seasons from 2000–01 till 2003–04, it was called the Premier League A (Ukrainian: Гандбольна вища ліга А).
Between leagues at the end of each season, the teams exchanged – the worst drop in the lower-ranking division, their places are taken by the best team of the lower leagues. The best teams of the Super League to play in European Cup tournaments held under the auspices of the European Handball Federation (EHF).
De Oekraïense Handbal Super League is de hoogste professionele handbalcompetitie voor heren in Oekraïne. De competitie werd opgericht in 1991 na de onafhankelijkheid van Oekraïne van de Sovjet-Unie.
**Format**
De Super League bestaat uit 10 teams die twee keer tegen elkaar spelen in een reguliere competitie. De beste zes teams kwalificeren zich voor de play-offs, waarin ze strijden om het kampioenschap. De onderste vier teams spelen in een degradatiepoule om te voorkomen dat ze naar de lagere divisie degraderen.

De meest succesvolle club in de Oekraïense Handbal Super League is HC Motor Zaporizhzhia, die 12 keer kampioen is geworden. Andere succesvolle clubs zijn HC Metalurg Zaporizhzhia en HC ZTR Zaporizhzhia.
**Internationaal**
De Oekraïense Handbal Super League is een van de sterkste handbalcompetities in Oost-Europa. Clubs uit de Super League nemen regelmatig deel aan Europese competities, zoals de EHF Champions League en de EHF Cup.
