The Basketball Championship of Bosnia and Herzegovina is the top–tier men's professional basketball league in Bosnia and Herzegovina for men and women, respectively. The league is operated by the Basketball Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina.

**BIH - Prvenstvo competitie**

Het BIH - Prvenstvo is een professionele basketbalcompetitie in Bosnië en Herzegovina. Het is de hoogste competitie in het land en wordt georganiseerd door de Basketballfederatie van Bosnië en Herzegovina.

De competitie werd opgericht in 1992 na de onafhankelijkheid van Bosnië en Herzegovina van Joegoslavië. Het was oorspronkelijk bekend als de "Premijer Liga" en werd later omgedoopt tot "Prvenstvo".

Het BIH - Prvenstvo bestaat uit 12 teams die in een reguliere competitie tegen elkaar spelen. De top 8 teams kwalificeren zich voor de play-offs, waarin de kampioen wordt bepaald.

De meest succesvolle club in de Prvenstvo is KK Bosna, dat 11 titels heeft gewonnen. Andere succesvolle clubs zijn KK Cedevita Olimpije, KK Igokea en KK Široki Brijeg.

Bij de Prvenstvo spelen veel getalenteerde spelers, waaronder nationale teamleden en voormalige NBA-spelers. De competitie staat bekend om zijn intensiteit en de passie van de fans.
