Wikipedia - Bangalore Football League

The Bangalore Football League is organised by the Bangalore District Football Association (BDFA), which is affiliated to the Karnataka State Football Association (KSFA) as a ladder-based state football competition involving a total of four divisions and over 130 teams in the Indian state of Karnataka. BDFA Super Division is the top-division, started in 2001. The winner is awarded George Hoover trophy. Prior to 2001, the BDFA A Division was the top tier, which currently act as 2nd tier of the state leagues ladder.

India - Bangalore Super Divisie

De Bangalore Super Divisie is een Indiase voetbalcompetitie voor clubs uit de staat Karnataka. De competitie is opgericht in 1950 en wordt georganiseerd door de Karnataka State Football Association (KSFA). De Super Divisie telt 10 clubs die om het kampioenschap spelen.

De competitie wordt gespeeld in een dubbel rondesysteem, waarbij elk team twee keer tegen elkaar speelt. Het team met de meeste punten aan het einde van het seizoen wordt gekroond tot kampioen. De kampioen van de Super Divisie kwalificeert zich voor de I-League 2nd Division, het tweede niveau van het Indiase voetbalsysteem.

De Bangalore Super Divisie is een van de sterkste competities in India. Er spelen enkele van de beste voetballers van het land, waaronder Sunil Chhetri en Gurpreet Singh Sandhu. De competitie is ook een kweekvijver voor talent, en veel spelers zijn doorgebroken naar de nationale ploeg.
