Wikipedia - Campionato Nazionale Primavera

The Campionato Nazionale Primavera – Trofeo Giacinto Facchetti, was an Italian football youth competition. It is organised by the Lega Serie A and the participating teams that take part in Serie A and Serie B: the first edition was held in the 1962–63 season, in place of the "Campionato Cadetti". Due to ceremonial reasons, the league is officially called Campionato Primavera Tim – Trofeo Giacinto Facchetti.

Torino have the highest number of titles, having won the Campionato Primavera nine times.

From the 2017–18 season, the league was replaced with Campionato Primavera 1 and Campionato Primavera 2.

**Italiaans Campionato Primavera**

Het Campionato Primavera is het hoogste niveau van jeugdvoetbal in Italië voor spelers onder de 19 jaar. De competitie werd opgericht in 1962 en wordt georganiseerd door de Lega Nazionale Professionisti Serie A.

Het Campionato Primavera bestaat uit twee fasen: een reguliere competitie en een play-off ronde. In de reguliere competitie spelen 18 teams twee keer tegen elkaar, thuis en uit. De beste acht teams plaatsen zich voor de play-off ronde, waarin ze uitkomen in een knock-out systeem totdat de kampioen is bepaald.

Het Campionato Primavera is een belangrijke kweekvijver voor jonge talenten in Italië. Veel spelers die later uitgroeien tot internationals, begonnen hun carrière in deze competitie. Enkele bekende spelers die in het Campionato Primavera speelden zijn onder andere Alessandro Nesta, Francesco Totti en Andrea Pirlo.

De huidige kampioen van het Campionato Primavera is Juventus, die de titel in 2022 won.
