LOL - LCL Summer

The League of Legends Continental League (LCL; Russian: Континентальная лига по League of Legends, tr. Kontinental'naya liga po League of Legends) was the top level of professional League of Legends competition in the Commonwealth of Independent States, organized by Riot Games Russia in 2016-2022. It replaced the SLTV StarSeries that was organized by StarLadder in 2016. There are eight teams in the league. Each annual season of play is divided into two splits, spring and summer, both consisting of five weeks of double round-robin tournament play, which then conclude with a play-off single elimination tournament between the top four teams. The winners of each split qualifies for the Mid-Season Invitational and the World Championship.

Prize pool of the competition in 2016 and 2017 amounts ₽4,5 million per season.

Due to the ongoing 2022 Russian invasion of Ukraine, LCL has been cancelled.

**LOL - LCL Summer**

De League of Legends Continental League (LCL) is de officiële League of Legends-e-sportcompetitie voor het GOS-gebied. De LCL Summer Split is het tweede seizoen van de LCL in 2023 en bestaat uit acht teams die strijden om een plaats in de League of Legends World Championship.

**Speelschema:**

De LCL Summer Split vindt plaats van 12 juni tot 17 september 2023. De teams spelen een dubbele ronde robin, waarbij elk team tweemaal tegen elk ander team speelt. De vier beste teams aan het einde van de reguliere competitie plaatsen zich voor de play-offs.

**Play-offs:**

De play-offs worden gehouden van 23 tot 25 september 2023. De vier teams die zich plaatsen, strijden in een dubbele eliminatie-bracket om de titel van LCL Summer Split-kampioen.

**Prijzenpot:**

De totale prijzenpot voor de LCL Summer Split is 100.000 Amerikaanse dollar. De winnaar ontvangt de helft van de prijzenpot, terwijl de tweede en derde plaats respectievelijk 30.000 en 20.000 Amerikaanse dollar ontvangen.

De LCL Summer Split wordt live uitgezonden op de officiële Twitch- en YouTube-kanalen van de League of Legends Continental League.
