Het basketbalteam van de Cal State Monterey Bay, ook wel bekend als de Otters, vertegenwoordigt de California State University, Monterey Bay in de NCAA Division II. Het team is een lid van de California Collegiate Athletic Association (CCAA). De Otters spelen hun thuiswedstrijden in de Kelp Bed in Seaside, Californië.

Het basketbalprogramma van Cal State Monterey Bay werd in 2000 opgericht. Het team heeft vijf CCAA-titels gewonnen, in 2005, 2010, 2011, 2014 en 2018. De Otters hebben ook vier keer het NCAA Division II Nationaal Kampioenschap gewonnen, in 2007, 2010 , 2014 en 2018.
