The Bowling Green Falcons women's basketball team is the NCAA Division I women's basketball team that represents Bowling Green State University. The team plays at the 4,700-seat Stroh Center on the BGSU campus in Bowling Green, Ohio, United States. The Falcons competes in the Mid-American Conference.

History

The Falcons have won the most MAC Championships, winning eleven tournament championships since its admission into the MAC in 1981. The team last played in the NCAA Division I women's basketball tournament in 2011. The Falcons became the first team from the MAC to reach the NCAA Division I women's basketball tournament Sweet Sixteen, after they upset the second seed Vanderbilt 59–56 at the Breslin Student Events Center in East Lansing, Michigan in 2007.

USA basketballteam "Bowling Green - Dames"

Het Amerikaanse basketbalteam "Bowling Green - Dames" is een basketbalteam dat uitkomt in de Mid-American Conference (MAC) van de National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA). Het team is gevestigd aan de Bowling Green State University in Bowling Green, Ohio. De Dames zijn zes keer MAC-kampioen geworden en hebben twee keer deelgenomen aan het NCAA-toernooi.

Het team wordt gecoacht door Jennifer Roos, die sinds 2016 hoofdcoach is. Roos heeft het team naar drie MAC-kampioenschappen geleid en is twee keer uitgeroepen tot MAC Coach of the Year.

De Dames hebben een aantal opmerkelijke spelers gehad, waaronder Erica Wheeler, die de WNBA Rookie of the Year Award won in 2013, en Ashley Ellis, die de MAC Player of the Year Award won in 2019.

Het team speelt zijn thuiswedstrijden in de Stroh Center, dat een capaciteit heeft van 4.000 toeschouwers. De Stroh Center opende in 2011 en is de thuisbasis van zowel het heren- als damesbasketbalteam van Bowling Green.
