Wikipedia - Buxton FC

Buxton Football Club is een Engelse voetbalclub uit Buxton, Derbyshire. De in 1877 opgerichte club promoveerde in 2022 naar de National League North en speelt haar thuiswedstrijden op The Silverlands. Het stadion heeft in totaal 4.000 plaatsen.

De beste prestatie van de club in de FA Cup is het bereiken van de derde ronde, in 1951/52. Het beste resultaat in de FA Trophy is de kwartfinale (1970/71 en 1971/72).

Buxton Football Club, kortweg Buxton, is een Engelse voetbalclub uit Buxton, Derbyshire. De club werd opgericht in 1877 en speelt haar wedstrijden op het Silverlands-stadion. Het team komt uit in de Northern Premier League Division One North West, het achtste niveau van het Engelse voetbalsysteem.

Buxton heeft een rijke historie in de FA Cup, de oudste nationale bekercompetitie ter wereld. Na de eindzege in de toernooien van 1890 en 1894 bereikte het team de finale in 2000, waarin het nipt met 2-0 verloor van Coventry City.

De bijnaam van Buxton is "The Bucks", afgeleid van het hert dat het wapen van de stad siert. De clubkleuren zijn zwart en wit, die ook terugkomen in het clublogo.
