Cockburn City Soccer Club is an Australian soccer club currently playing in the National Premier Leagues Western Australia. They play their home games at Dalmatinac Park and train at Beale Park.
History
Cockburn City Soccer Club's origin goes back to 1929 when they were known as Spearwood Rovers, and after the 1964 season they amalgamated with Britannia (who had renamed a year earlier from Fremantle City) to become Cockburn United. A few months earlier, some of the Spearwood Rovers club had joined forces with Balkans Dalmatinac, to create Fremantle Dalmatinac (who were renamed Spearwood Dalmatinac in 1974). The two clubs enjoyed success in the period after, with facilities close to each other at Dalmatinac Park and Beale Park. The clubs reunited in 1998 under the negotiations of Angelko Petkovich and John Mijacika and became Cockburn City Soccer Club. The facilities at both parks are still used by the club's Junior and Senior teams.
Cockburn City speelt zijn thuiswedstrijden op het Dalmatinac Park in Cockburn Central. Het stadion heeft een capaciteit van 4.000 toeschouwers.
De clubkleuren van Cockburn City zijn blauw en wit. Het clublogo bestaat uit een afbeelding van een haan, die de bijnaam van het team "The Roosters" vertegenwoordigt.
In de loop der jaren heeft Cockburn City veel succes gehad in lokale en nationale competities. De club heeft de National Premier Leagues Western Australia drie keer gewonnen, in 2005, 2011 en 2015. Cockburn City heeft ook twee keer de West Australian State Cup gewonnen, in 1986 en 2011.
Op nationaal niveau heeft Cockburn City deelgenomen aan de National Premier Leagues Finals Series, maar heeft nog nooit de finale bereikt. In 2015 bereikte de club de halve finales, maar verloor die van Adelaide City.
Enkele van de meest opvallende spelers die voor Cockburn City hebben gespeeld, zijn onder meer Eli Babalj, Mile Jedinak, Josh Risdon en Richard Garcia.
