Onisilos Sotira 2014 was a Cypriot association football club based in Sotira, Famagusta, located in the Famagusta District. Its stadium was the Sotira Municipal Stadium. It has 2 participations in STOK Elite Division.
History
Onisilos was founded in 2014 to replace the same-year dissolved club due to financial problems, Kentro Neon Onisilos Sotira. The name of the club comes from the Greek city-state of Salamis on the island of Cyprus, and Onesilus, who lived at the end of 5th century BC and at the beginning of 6th century BC and tried to liberate the island from Persians. The colours of the club were green and white. On 23 June 2022, the club merged with Achyronas Liopetriou to form Achyronas-Onisilos.
Onisilos Sotira is een Cypriotische voetbalclub uit Sotira, in het Famagusta District. De club werd opgericht in 1948 en speelt zijn thuiswedstrijden in het Sotira Municipal Stadium.
Onisilos heeft nog nooit een grote prijs gewonnen, maar heeft wel een aantal keer in de Cypriotische Eerste Divisie gespeeld. Het hoogtepunt van de clubgeschiedenis was in 1992, toen Onisilos de finale van de Cypriotische beker bereikte. In de finale werd echter met 1-0 verloren van Apollon Limassol.
In 2014 degradeerde Onisilos naar de Cypriotische Tweede Divisie, maar promoveerde in 2018 weer terug naar de Eerste Divisie. De club speelt momenteel in de Eerste Divisie, waar het een middenmoter is.
Bekende spelers die voor Onisilos hebben gespeeld zijn onder andere Grigoris Kastanos, Demetris Christofi en Marios Antoniou.
