Albury Wodonga Bandits

Albury Wodonga Bandits is a NBL1 East club based in Albury, New South Wales. The club fields a team in both the Men's and Women's NBL1 East. The club is a division of the overarching Border Basketball Club, the major administrative basketball organisation in the Albury–Wodonga region. The Bandits play their home games at the Lauren Jackson Sports Centre. For sponsorship reasons, the two teams are known as the Southern Vale Homes Bandits.

De Albury Wodonga Bandits zijn een basketbalteam uit Albury, New South Wales, Australië. Ze spelen in de South East Australian Basketball League (SEABL). Het team werd opgericht in 1982 en heeft sindsdien een rijke geschiedenis opgebouwd.

De Bandits hebben drie SEABL-kampioenschappen gewonnen, in 1994, 1995 en 2003. Ze hebben ook drie keer de finale bereikt, in 1996, 1999 en 2016.

Het team staat bekend om zijn snelle tempo en offensieve stijl van spelen. Ze hebben een aantal van de beste spelers van Australië in hun gelederen gehad, waaronder Damian Martin, David Barlow en Luke Kendall.

De Bandits spelen hun thuiswedstrijden in het Albury Entertainment Centre. Ze hebben een trouwe schare fans die bekend staat om hun lawaai en enthousiasme.

In 2018 behaalden de Bandits opnieuw een mijlpaal door hun eerste SEABL-kampioenschap in 15 jaar te winnen. Ze versloegen de Mount Gambier Pioneers in een spannende finale en bewezen daarmee dat ze nog steeds tot de topteams van Australië behoren.
